Happy Halloween!

We are foreigners living in North America and I am so not into Halloween, but there is really no choice when there is a full-fledged Jedi in the house and his costume and lightsabre have to be ordered more than a month in advance. So this is my way of having fun together: Halloween-themed bookmarks for the school library :)

Ink: J. Herbin Rouge Hematite
Pen: Pilot Parallel Pen in 2.4mm

  1. I’m not into Halloween either but with these beautiful bookmarks I may get to like it :-) It’s great to see that you are also interested in and proficient at calligraphy!

    1. I made a number of mistakes with these but hopefully the next batch will be better ;) Isn’t the Parallel Pen wonderful? I know you have beautiful handwriting too and I hope to see more of it in the future!

      1. The Parallel Pen is indeed wonderful – I couldn’t resist and have bought three of them quite a while ago (and added a converter later). However, I don’t practice enough …

      2. Oh! Are there converters that fit these? I just use the flushing tool (?) that comes with them as a converter – push them just a bit further down, it helps to have some sort of grease or lubricant in order to prevent the plastic connector from breaking. Calligraphers often fill the whole barrel with ink.

And the nice thing about calligraphy is that you can only get better! Progress could be fast or slow depending on the amount of practice, but you never get worse :)

      3. Almost forgot: Thank you for your kind words regarding my handwriting but where have you seen it? Sadly I only ” print” and can’t write script neatly.

      4. Yes, there is the Pilot CON-50 which fits (for some odd reason it isn’t advertised as compatible). – Oh, you saw my handwriting on my blog – of course. I must have been a little absent when asking.
